Social Impact Valeriana in the semi-finals of the international TTI Global Impact Awards
“Now I'm the king of the swingers, oh, the jungle VIP…” is it just us or does “Top Tier” also immediately remind you of this classic film tune? If not, then you’re probably not a German speaker, for “Tier” means “animal” in German. In any case, you’re more than welcome to listen to King Louie’s ode to being human while we explain the story behind the term: namely, that Valeriana entered the semi-finals of the international Top Tier Impact Awards!
Top Tier Impact is a global network by and for positive impact and sustainability leaders. Around 500 investors and entrepreneurs from more than 40 countries came together and made it their mission to confront the greatest crises of our time. And they’ve actually got a good chance of making a difference, for they have gathered some of the biggest impact funds and most influential companies in the world under their umbrella. The Top Tier Impact network thus offers great potential for creating goal-oriented synergies between various actors — while also enabling younger projects to benefit from these synergies.
And thus, on 17 August, promising businesses and start-ups from all over the world were once again honoured at this year’s TTI Global Impact Awards — also known as the “Oscars of the impact and sustainability space”. Starts-ups, which — according to the organisers themselves — count among today’s most innovative companies.
To be honest, we were pretty close to bursting with joy when we learned that Valeriana had made it into the semi-finals in the category “Diversity & Inclusion”! We did not end up taking home the first prize in the end, but as per the motto “Being there is everything”, we are grateful to every single person and every single vote that has brought us this far and gave us such a fantastic platform.
In that sense, thank you, thank you, thank you for continuing to be with us on our journey to make the world a better place one step at a time! And now everyone together: Oh, oobee doo!
