The United Nations has proposed 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for our world. Combined, these goals make up a global plan to promote sustainable peace, prosperity and to protect our planet. Since 2016, work has been underway around the world to translate this shared vision into national development plans in order to fight poverty and reduce inequalities.

Valeriana is focused on the following four goals:

With so many goals — such as ending poverty, fighting against inequalities and injustices, stopping climate changing, quality education, gender equality, decent work and economic growth, fewer inequalities — it may sometimes seem impossible that our individual actions would have any impact at all.

But should we give up because of that? Surely not, for we all play a part in solving our global problems. We all bear responsibility for contributing small changes through which we can collectively make a positive impact.
